I did a couple of days in my lovely shop job this week, it's very different now the Christmas rush is over but I do really enjoy going in and seeing what new stock has come in since my last shift. Today I'm doing a spot of freelance for my old day job which means i'm looking at beautiful images to fill books with and pop on the front cover to entice people to pick up and buy the book! I started the day with some research for the beautiful country of Croatia and it reminded me of this post. Have you taken a look? My New York post this week was a super hit via twitter so I will definitely be doing more honeymoon inspiration pieces in 2012. What else would you lovelies like to see on this blog this year?
I was lucky enough to get a sewing machine for Christmas and I'm so excited to get making things. The Makery have some beautiful new fabrics in this week that just make me desperate to make cushions and curtains for every room in my house. Not to mention I got a fabulous teapot which I have been coveting for ages from my guidedaughter and I need to get this teapot fabric when it is back in stock to make a teacosy!
Another exciting find at the Makery this week was new magazine Lionheart. Created by Helen Martin it is a "bi-monthly magazine for those looking for something that reflects their personalities and preferences. Editorial that’s smart, funny, friendly and a little irreverent, together with beautiful design, illustrations and photography. You’ll find craft, fashion, art, interviews and features that are interesting, inspiring and hearty."
It is really lovely (as a huge magazine and blog fiend) to read something where everything feels fresh and not just things I could find if I looked through a few blogs. I'm excited to see this magazine grow and develop in 2012 and the illustrations and images are simply beautiful.
Speaking of new magazines I'm excited to visit London next week for the launch of new online wedding magazine Reverie. I'll be back next week with a little round-up on the magazine.

To finish this week; how beautiful is this opaque diamond ring by Rust? I'm a huge fan of their jewellery and their styling and this ring is stunning.
So, what have you got planned for the weekend folks? I've got my mum coming to visit tonight which will be fun, we have a girls day out planned for tomorrow to see the fashion museum, the new exhibition at Rostra and Rooksmoor and i've vowed to keep off the highstreet and explore the indie boutiques we have here in Bath, there are too many to choose from!
