Here’s Jess with her memories of the day and of course the all important proposal story!
How did you meet?
We met online in November 2007 via mysinglefriend.com!
What's your proposal story?
Ben took me for a picnic in Crystal Palace Park. We relaxed on a blanket, played some card games, and then he pulled out a ring that was hiding in his sunglasses case. I was completely shocked and cried and cried, and shouted YES. It was absolutely perfect.
What was your favourite thing about the Big Day?
When I think back, my favourite thing about the day is saying the vows, and then our first kiss as man and wife.
What did your family and friends say was their favourite part of the day?
Most people comment about the food - fabulous slow roast lamb joint served 'family style', which was amazing, and I think a lot of people were impressed with the venue.
In the lead up to the day itself what were you most excited about?
I was most excited about actually becoming Ben’s wife! Also I was really excited to wear the dress, and get my hair done.
I was really nervous about the dinner/reception and hoped that everything would run smoothly.
Have you got any funny stories or Bridezilla moments you can share with our readers?
I did yell at the venue’s wedding organizer when they forget to set up the free bar after the ceremony; I felt pretty bad about that. Besides that I like to think I was pretty laid back.
And so, to Jess and Ben's Beautiful Wedding Day
